Document Conveyor
Stokes Imaging Inc offers a conveyer to assist the operator in placing and removing reflective materials from under the camera. It has three positions: one for loading the object to be captured onto the conveyor belt, one for securing the object under glass while it is captured, and one for off-loading the object from the conveyor belt. The conveyor can be used by one or two operators. The single operator loads and unloads the originals while the center object is being capture. With two operators, one will load an original and one will unload an original, while the center object is being capture.
In 1-shot capture mode, images can be captured in approximately 3 seconds, requiring two operators to maximize the pace of the conveyor. In 4-shot capture mode, images can be captured in approximately 10 seconds, also requiring two operators to maximize the pace of the conveyor. In 16-shot capture mode, images can be captured within 40 seconds; hence, one operator should be sufficient to maximize the pace of the conveyor.
All movements and captures are computer controlled and automated, but movements are only allowed after a ready trigger from the operator for each image. This allows the pace of the workflow to be set by the operator based on the condition of the material to be captured and the operator's level of comfort with the conveyor.
